higanbana no saku yoru ni is a visual novel by 07th expansion written by ryukishi07. it is an anthology series split into 2 parts (or 'nights') which each have 7-8 chapters. a central theme for each chapter is bullying, or going through very hard times. additionally, each chapter has the titular character higanbana, who is a youkai doll.
